Rodney and Shayla met in 2003 while at a mutual friend’s home. They reconnected in 2007 by the same mutual friend they immediately realized they had a lot in common and really loved being around each other. On February 14, 2009 Rodney proposed at one of Shaylas favorite restaurants. They talked about marriage before but she was completely surprised by Rodney’s proposal.
