In the wedding photography business we have our favorite photos and some we like more than others for a variety of reasons. In my case my favorite work as a wedding photographer can change from wedding to wedding. As I was scrolling thru some past weddings I came across this photo from a wedding that I shot about 9 years ago at Independence Park in Charlotte. The funny thing for me is that this was my favorite photo for a very long time and now I am shocked it was. Overall the thing I loved most about this wedding photo was the reflection of the bride and groom in the water which was completely by accident. In 9 years a lot has changed with technology being one factor and skill set being another. I have grown in my craft since shooting my first wedding in 2004 and I have continued to grow in wedding photography since this wedding in 2008 and my weddings have totally improved since. To me it is still a great photo but I am sure I will feel the same way about today’s photos 5 years from now.
