Byron’s Southend Past Wedding

Today I want to focus on a topic we wrote about a few weeks ago called making lemons out of lemonade. It was referring to the fact that weddings are unpredictable and even if things don’t go as planned a wedding photographer should always make sure they take the best photos possible. This wedding comes to mind for that topic because how the weather made the bride feel at first and how we turned things around by making the situation work out to the advantage of their wedding photos. In this wedding there was a candid photo I photographed of the bride appearing sad as she looked out the window. At the moment she really was because she felt the weather ruined her day along with her wedding photography. With my experience in the wedding industry and being a husband I can see how a bride can feel this way but as an optimist that views the glass as half full I was determined to make lemonade out of what appeared to be lemons to the bride. A lot of wedding photographers understand the effect that cloudy skies have on wedding photos and this was to the advantage of the bride and as seen in the slideshow we were able to take full advantage of it. One of my favorite photos from this wedding  and a favorite to others over the years was the picture of the bride and groom in the alley with the umbrella. For me as a wedding photographer it symbolizes what it means to take the best possible photos at every wedding regardless of the situation.
